Marquez, meteorologist with Bay News 9, said.
As of 7 a.m., Bay New 9's Lakeland recording station registered about a quarter-inch of rain.
The rains will be gone by early afternoon and the remainder of the day will be cooler than in recent days, with temperatures in the low to mid-70s. It will be sunny but windy again, with a northwesterly wind from 15 to 25 mph, Marquez said.
Lows tonight and early Friday will be in the 50s. It will be warmer on Friday with temperatures in the mid-70s. It will also be dry as rain chance is slight.
