Brothers Arrested In Home Invasion

HAINES CITY | Police arrested two brothers Wednesday on charges of home invasion robbery, criminal conspiracy and misdemeanor battery, according to a press statement from the Haines City Police Department.
Arrested were Jose Garcia-Mendoza, 26, and Antonio Garcia-Mendoza, 25, both of 5235 Polk City Road in Haines City.
They are accused of breaking into the home of Victor Mendoza, who is no relation to them, police said.
Victor Mendoza, who suffered minor injuries during the attack, identified both men, police reported.
A police report said the officers arrested the brothers at their home, where the stolen property was recovered.
They were being held Wednesday at the Polk County Jail.
