Mother Asks Judge To Delay Daughter Casey Anthony's Fraud Trial

ORLANDO | The lawyer for the mother of a missing Florida girl accused of murdering the toddler has asked a judge to delay her case on check fraud charges.

Casey Anthony was not present at the hearing Wednesday. She is scheduled to stand trial in January on first-degree murder charges of 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.
The 22-year-old has pleaded not guilty. She is also charged with forging checks belonging to a friend.
Circuit Judge Stan Strickland has not yet ruled on the request.
Caylee Anthony disappeared in June but was not reported missing until July. Casey Anthony said she left Caylee with a baby sitter. The girl has not been found.

From the Orlando Sentinel, at today's hearing, Casey Anthony's attorney requested that the death penalty be taken off the table.

"Casey Anthony is a unique individual. A close inspection of her case clearly supports not filing a notice seeking death. . . .
Details of the Anthony case to do not rise to the level required for the death penalty, he wrote. She doesn't have a criminal record. There is no history of abuse. The crime was not cold, calculated and premeditated. In the months leading up to Caylee's disappearance, Anthony's behavior was described by friends and family as "erratic and not entirely rational."
He wrote that filicide, the act of a parent killing a child, is different than other homicides. The underlying reasons why mothers kill are complex and can be divided into various categories. For example, one type is a parent who kills under influence of mental illness. Another type suggests a parent's motive may be to save the child from real or imagined harm."
Is he setting this up to enter an insanity plea?

It touches on Anthony's erratic behavior after her daughter's birth that suggests signs of emotional or mental distress.
2 Things have been rasied on this , The DNA of Caley, Might sugguest that her Father is Realy her Brother.
And This Girl spent most of her time Partying in Bars, Not raising her child.
The report ended with pictures of Anthony during happier times as a child surrounded by her parents and her brother.
UM..... Who would this be ? Caley or Casey ?
and a child is just usually happy for any attention.
and REALLY, what does this have to do with the fact that , YOU KILLED THAT CHILD ?

Technically, she's been CHARGED with murder, not convicted. That's why there's a trial.
Although there seems to be a lot of circumstantial evidence, I'm sure there is quite a bit of information not made available to the public. We shall see.

I believe that this is when Caylee probably died. She drugged her too heavily and left her in the back of the car so she could be partying. When she returned, she was dead. Then it appears she buried her from the evidence made public. If she is buried somewhere, then someday it might be proven. If she tossed her in the dumpster though, we may never know.
Just a theory, but is possibly accurate.The mother should not of even been allowed to speak to the judge anyway in my opinion.

I just read this on ABC Action news: (Strange movies to rent IF she is guilty)
"Newly released surveillance photos show Casey Anthony and her boyfriend in a Blockbuster video store on the evening of June 16th, the day many believe Caylee died. The photos show the pair renting two movies. One is titled "Untraceable." It centers around a kidnapper and killer. The other was "Jumper." It's about a mother who abandons her 5-year-old child."
Eye, I agree with you. Casey Anthony is an adult and Cindy (and George) Anthony have been enabling this young woman way too long. Its time she started acting like an adult and taking responsibility for her actions.
